Bingo..you are a 'Digital Native' and drones are your friend!

A few years back when I saw a presentation of a social media giant with title  ‘Is Social media a Fad’? and today when I recollect the contents and statements which were  like “news would find you- you would no longer look for the news”. News really finds you today, wherever you are- on your mobile or on internet. According to a research by SimpleReach about 1.3 billion people login through Facebook and over 20% of the traffic goes to the news websites through Facebook alone.

The favorite mobile application you have just downloaded through play store or the product you just brought through an e-commerce site, would surely help the marketers to capture your information in various forms to build the direct connect. You also allow the app without any choice that they can manage your messages, locations, contacts, and photos etc without any reticence and consideration on your privacy.  Mind you tech geeks are writing algorithms to monitor your preference, track your location or capture what you do on the internet in order to monetize around your full internet behavior (part of IOT- Internet of things).

Social application WhatsApp has over 600 million subscribers, out of which around 70 million are from India. We share files, photos etc without thinking where else this can go.  We never think through this as we are the ‘consumer’ on the receiving side- after all we get it for free.

To help you expand the internet and social platform usage across office, mobile and home devices, organizations like Microsoft are proposing to TRAI for a Wi-Fi zone, with up to 16 mbps of internet bandwidth in a 10 kilometer radius, would surely expect something more creative or exciting or addictive or if not- to help you go and buy online and get the delivery through a drone or robot, directly at your roof-top.

Bingo, you are a digital native. Post a business advertisement on any site and the first few calls you start getting around are real-estate, insurance or financial services. You are becoming a target and in future companies who are testing drones for delivery of your consignment at your roof top)- would drop you with a COD facility, you may buy the product by swiping your card , or return the delivery should you wish not to buy.
